To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Morelia, Mizuno launched a special edition boot "Morelia Proto UL 40th" — the lightest in the series, with “lightweight” as the main concept.

I was responsible for producing a 3D mixed real footages promo video. The process involved working from a 3D-scanned model of the shoe, creating environments scene, effects, compositing in DaVinci Resolve, and final editing.

One of the main challenges here was that I was not able to get the real cleat, so another person scanned the shoe through 3Dpolycam and sent it to me. It wasn't ready to be used yet; it had to be cleaned up, such as the model, topology, texture, etc. So this process required feedback back and forth between me and the ones who got the real cleate.

The reason I decided to use DaVince Resolve is that it can nail a real camera effect like flare, distortion, and halation quite impressively.
